Kids’ Birthday Parties at Urban Evolution!

Is your kid a budding “Ninja Warrior?” Now they don’t have to wait until they’re 21 to be a part of the show! Host their birthday at Urban Evolution and let your kid and her friends feel what it’s like to be a true ninja!

We specialize in great birthdays, but if you’re looking for something different for kid and her friends, contact us and we’ll help you get a great rate and put together the most memorable event for your group possible!

We typically host events on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am-12pm and 6pm-8pm. We can also do daytime options on select days; to inquire about availability just use the handy chat window icon on the lower right of our website!

We’ve put together great events almost every weekend now for many years for bachelor and bachelorette parties, law firms, groups of friends looking to train for an event, and birthday parties for kids of all ages (6 to 55, really!).*

We typically do fun parkour-based activities starting with individual techniques and then building up to an obstacle course, with tons of instructor interaction and coaching to help everyone out. We allow customers to bring in food, and we have some folding tables you can use to set up or serve food.**

If you’d like to plan a birthday that includes something other than Parkour (Aerials, Laser Tag, etc), we can accommodate you for an extra flat $100 fee. You’ll need to make sure to mention this in the “notes” section when you book online, or simply mention it when you speak to the representative on the phone or via email.

Birthdays and other events are typically held on weekends after 6pm. We have limited time slots for private events (the gyms are busy!), and they tend to fill up quickly, so don’t delay!

You can reserve a time slot at least 7 days in advance* by using our online scheduler.

*If you are looking for a date within 7 days, e-mail or use our chat window to check availability. We do sometimes have last-minute cancellations and availability.

Pricing for a 2-hour event (6 people are required at a minimum to book the gym for a private event, please. If you bring fewer than 6 people to an event you’ve booked, you will be billed for 6 people at a minimum):

  • 6-10 people: $35 per person
  • 11-15: $30 per person
  • 16+: $25 per person
**Please read the below ONLY if you have booked a group event**:
Please instruct your guests to do the following prior to the event:
  1.  Complete the waiver by going to, click on the “Register Now!” menu option, and create a client profile and sign a waiver. All guests must have completed waiver to participate.
  2. All participants must wear athletic shoes and comfortable clothes they can move around in. Flip-flops, sandals, boots, Crocs, or open-toed shoes are not allowed.

**Additional Instructions for Event host:

  • *Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to the start of your event.
  • *Please e-mail us at with the your number of expected guests (so we can staff accordingly).

*Include in your e-mail, your preferred event format (pick ONE from the below):

  1.  Parkour-based activities followed by an obstacle course activity (most popular!)
  2.  Parkour-based activities followed by a Laser Tag battle (NEW!!!) (extra $100 flat fee) (Alexandria and Manassas locations ONLY at the moment).
  3. Fun with Aerial Silks only party
  4. Parkour-based activities followed by Fun with Aerial Silks (extra $100 flat fee)

*Please note the price per participant: 6-10 guests: $35 per person, 11-15 guests: $30 per person, 16+ guests: $25 per person. You will be asked to pay your remaining balance once all of your guests have arrived.

*As the date nears, please email us again at at least 48 hours before event date with the confirmed headcount so we can plan and staff accordingly. Final payment due at the event will be based on confirmed headcount plus any additional guests that arrive.

*You may bring food & drink to the gym for the snacking portion of any festivities. Folding tables will be set up and there are local places that deliver.

*Tips for the instructors are not expected but always appreciated for a job well done.

*Please be considerate of the staff’s time and classes that may begin at the conclusion of your party. There is a 15 min. grace period from the designated end time for guests to vacate and the host to clean up. After the 15 min. grace period, there is a $100/hr prorated overtime charge.

*A $40 deposit is collected at the time of booking. Deposits may be refunded up to 7 days before your event by sending an email to

*We do suggest that planners try and keep the “age spread” of a group relatively small; there’s a big difference between what a 6-year-old can do alongside a 13-year-old, for instance, and what’s challenging to the former isn’t going to be quite as fun for the latter.

Weather and Cancellation Policy: In the event of adverse weather that requires you to reschedule or Urban Evolution to close the gyms (due to unsafe road conditions or other weather-related issues, for instance), we will work with you to reschedule your event at the next available date that suits your schedule. There’s no charge for rescheduling, but the gyms do tend to book up well in advance. If you choose to cancel the event entirely, you can receive your full deposit back if you notify us at least 2 weeks in advance of the event.
